YP L.E.A.D.S. Forum: Black Rights Advocacy Evolves: Strategies and Best Practices for a New Era
Day 1
It is 2023 and today’s civil rights landscape is very different from the one where our grandparents lived and fought. Nonetheless, the assault on Black lives and Black rights is as potent as ever. Advocacy in this new era is a vital task that requires a deep understanding of the issues, effective communication skills, and a commitment to making real change. For this session, we tap the insights and experiences of a diverse group of activists who are reinventing Black advocacy for a changing world. Join these world-class minds for a no-limits discussion of the current state of Black rights and share strategies for making a positive impact across all sectors, from the criminal justice system and education to health care and environmental justice.
