Alex Rias, Esq. is an attorney, management specialist, policy strategist and advocate. At the National Urban League, Alex manages teams for legislative affairs, advocacy strategy, legal analysis, and rapid response. His portfolio of policy issues covers civic engagement and democracy, voting rights, criminal justice and police accountability, gun violence prevention, political extremism, cannabis equity, and other justice and equity issues. He also serves on the board of directors for Nonprofit Vote, which works to expand civic engagement nationally; EduColor, working to uplift education equity and advocacy issues; and Woodside on the Move, a Queens-based community organization focused on youth development and housing issues. Alex is admitted to practice law at the U.S. Supreme Court and in New York State.
