Attorney Tori Wengner is the manager of the Black Voters on the Rise initiative. Working in coalition with national, state, and grassroots partners, she coordinates a team of LDF staff engaged in year-round voter education, election administration advocacy, and nonpartisan election monitoring efforts predominantly in the South.

At LDF, Tori has litigated multiple voting rights and redistricting cases advocating for fair representation and equal access to the political process, including matters before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. She has also drafted over a dozen successful bills and resolutions to advance voting rights at the state level and helped coordinate successful veto campaigns against harmful legislation. Tori is the author of multiple research papers and editorial pieces for print media and guest lectures on civil rights topics at colleges and universities across the country.
