Uché Blackstock, MD, founded her strategic consulting firm, Advancing Health Equity in 2019 to help healthcare and public health organizations build more equitable, accountable, and community-centered systems. A physician, author, and nationally recognized thought leader, she is known for guiding conversations at the intersection of racial justice, health equity, leadership, and the lived experiences of Black communities, especially Black women. Dr. Blackstock made history alongside her sister and mother as part of the first Black mother-daughter legacy graduates of Harvard Medical School. She is the New York Times bestselling author of “Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine,” a personal and incisive exploration of medicine, inequality, family, and the enduring influence of her mother, who was also a physician.
