Topeka K. Sam is also founder of TKS Ventures LLC and Faces & Voices Inc. and serves on the board of directors for Coalition for Public Safety, The Marshall Project, Operation Restoration, and United Justice Coalition. After her release from federal prison in 2015, Topeka served as director of #Dignity Campaign for #cut50, where she led the bipartisan national effort to pass 20 pieces of legislation to restore dignity for incarcerated women. In 2020, the United Nations appointed Topeka the Global Festival of Creative Economy goodwill ambassador for incarceration reform. In December 2020, she received a full presidential pardon for her dedication to helping women turn from a path of despair towards a path of redemption. She also hosts The Topeka K.
