Tim Murphy oversees Mastercard’s law, franchise and integrity activities; its people and capabilities function; and Mastercard Transaction Services. He is also a member of the company’s executive leadership team and management committee. Previously, Tim served as the company's general counsel, helping advance Mastercard's legal and regulatory affairs, public policy, corporate governance, and compliance. Before joining Mastercard in 2000, he was an associate in the New York and London offices of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton. Tim is board of trustees chair for the National Urban League and co-chairs the Cyber Readiness Institute. In 2018, Tim was named a Legend in Law by the Burton Foundation.
