Tawanna Black is a visionary strategist, ordained pastor, and award-winning leader at the forefront of economic justice and faith-based entrepreneurship. As head of Living Truth Enterprises, Tawanna and her team equip executives, investors, and organizations to align purpose with performance, centering racial equity, truth-telling, and lasting impact. A trusted voice in the C-suite, community, and the sanctuary, Tawanna brings over 25 years of experience leading systems-change work across the private, public, and philanthropic sectors. She is the founding architect of the Center for Economic Inclusion, the nation’s first organization exclusively dedicated to advancing inclusive regional economies. She has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal’s Business Person of the Year, Women Elevating Women’s Entrepreneurial Women of Impact, and the Living Cities Top 25 Leaders Disruptive Leaders Closing Racial Wealth Gaps. Tawanna serves in governance for the Low-Income Investment Board, the Minnesota Council of Churches, and Progressive’s Purpose Alliance. She is a former board member and president of Urban League of Nebraska Young Professionals.
