Sean Mickens leads Comcast’s government affairs and public policy team’s external engagement with civil rights, LGBTQIA+, and consumer interest organizations on digital equity, broadband deployment and access, technology, and telecommunications policies. Previously, Sean was a public policy manager at Meta Platforms, Inc. (formerly Facebook) where he managed strategic outreach, partnerships, and engagement with progressive and civil rights think tanks. Sean’s scope of experience includes such tech policy issues as antitrust, content moderation and free expression, data localization, data portability, economic impact, AR/VR/XR, and privacy. Sean has advised non-profits, think tanks, and advocacy organizations including the National Urban League, Third Way, and the American Constitution Society for Law and Policy. Sean is a contributing author of research reports focusing on the intersection of technology policy, African Americans, and other historically marginalized communities.
