Shonda Johnson-Isaac began her career with Marriott 40 years ago, serving in various leadership positions in human resources, sales, and operations.  In 1995, Shonda accepted the position of opening director of operations at Philadelphia Airport Marriott.  After two years, she was promoted to resident manager at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.  In 1999, Shonda moved to the Washington, D.C. area to serve as resident manager at the JW Marriott Hotel.  In 2001, she was promoted to general manager of the Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, D.C. Previously, she was hotel manager of the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown. Shonda serves on the boards of the Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Owner’s Advisory Committee, and New Detroit. She founded and chaired Women in Leadership-Detroit.
