Stephanie Fernandez is a Vice President at Goldman Sachs and the One Million Black Women: Black in Business lead. In this role, she works with entrepreneurs and key program partners leading on program strategy. She joined Goldman Sachs in June of 2022.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Stephanie worked at the NYC Mayor’s Office, working on education policy, financial inclusion efforts, strategic initiatives, and managing an array of stakeholders including elected officials at the local, state, and federal level, nonprofit organizations, and corporations. She has also served as a Fulbright scholar in Mexico City, where she taught English and worked with the U.S.-Mexico Foundation on bi-lateral economic development efforts.

She graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School with her Master in Public Policy in May of 2022. While at the Harvard Kennedy School, she was selected as a Fellow for the Center for Public Leadership, worked at the World Bank with the Latin America and Caribbean countries gender team, and focused her work and research on women entrepreneurship. She earned her BA from Barnard College of Columbia University.
