Senator Sherrod Brown founded the Dignity of Work Institute in the Spring of 2025 to lift workers' voices and to create an economy where Americans’ work is valued and everyone can afford a decent life. Over a lifetime of public service, including more than three decades serving Ohioans in Congress, Sherrod has been one of the country’s most consistent champions for American workers. He is a leading advocate for the labor movement, standing up to multinational corporations that enrich themselves at the expense of workers. A lifelong Ohioan, Sherrod is the author of three books and lives in Columbus with his wife, Connie Schultz, a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and author.
