Roland has 30+ years of transformational impact as a professional athlete,  entrepreneur, and philanthropist. A graduate of Syracuse University, Roland has enjoyed a legendary 8-year NFL career, a Super Bowl Championship, and decades as an award-winning sports analyst, speaker, author, and executive coach.

In 2021, Roland completed his first successful $50M seed raise to create the nation’s largest African-American-owned manufacturer of disposable gloves. During this process, he was exposed to the unprecedented demand for diversity and inclusion within private equity. He has committed to helping close the nation’s supplier diversity and economic equity gap. 

His company, Brown Diamond Equity is a culture-shifting, M&A consulting, deal origination, and fund management firm committed to delivering exceptional financial returns while fostering a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable economy. Roland is the proud father of three sons and lives in Los Angeles,  California.
