Richard Cox is responsible for nine Delta customer engagement centers with approximately 6,000 employees who engage with nearly 40 million customers annually through phone, email, messaging and social media channels. Prior to joining Delta in 2022, Richard served as chief information officer at Cox Enterprises, leading enterprise-wide IT and digital strategy. He spent the first 16 years of his career in the travel industry leading operations for Worldspan and then Orbitz Worldwide, where he was responsible for customer experience strategy and global sales and service call center operations. He also served the city of Atlanta as chief operating officer in 2018. Passionate about community work, Richard serves on the boards of Kennesaw State University and City of Refuge Atlanta.
