Founded in 2016, the Austins-based DivInc is a non-profit tech startup ecosystem exclusively for people of color and women tech entrepreneurs. Its mission is to generate social and economic equity and reduce the racial wealth gap through entrepreneurship. Through its signature accelerator program DivInc has helped launch and grow over 100 companies. Co-founder and CEO Preston James II is a former 20-year veteran at Dell where he served in executive leadership roles in enterprise IT sales and consulting and led teams responsible for driving $250M+ in revenues. He also served as managing director for the Dell Global Center for Entrepreneurship, where he oversaw a $100M Dell Credit Fund for small businesses. He was also an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) at the Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship in the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas.
