Obioha "Obi" Okereke
Founder & CEO /College Money Habits

Obi Okereke is a Seattle native and educator dedicated to enhancing financial literacy among students and young adults. In the fall of 2019, during his senior year of college, he founded College Money Habits, a platform designed to teach high school students the fundamentals of personal finance and healthy money habits. Starting his investment journey at 18 with just $150, Obi grew his investment portfolio to over $120,000 by the age of 24 and to $ 300,000 by 26. College Money Habits collaborates with organizations, non-profits, and universities to host workshops, panels, and events focused on budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management. Partner institutions include Byrd Barr Place, College Success Foundation, the University of Washington, and the United Negro College Fund. In 2024, Obi launched a financial literacy program in Seattle that has already changed the lives of over 200 adults and youth, inspiring them to make tangible changes like automating savings and paying down debt.
