Marva Smalls

Marva Smalls is a media and entertainment executive and philanthropist whose visionary leadership, advocacy, and commitment to inclusion have had a profound impact on global media, children’s television, community-based programming, and the arts. Prior to her current role, Marva served as both EVP and Global Head of Inclusion at Paramount and as EVP, Public Affairs, at Nickelodeon, home to iconic brands including BET, CBS, Nickelodeon, Showtime, MTV, Comedy Central, and Paramount Pictures. At Nickelodeon, her strategic vision reflected a deep understanding of media’s power to influence societal norms and values. Marva was honored with a Peabody Award for the Nickelodeon outreach program, The Big Help. She was also recognized for her work with the White House and First Lady Michelle Obama to tackle childhood obesity. Marva is a founding member of the Black Economic Alliance and has arded more than $3 million for programs benefiting youth and families through the Marva Smalls Endowment.
