Michael Obi
Executive VP of Economic Development, Urban League of Greater Cleveland

Michael Obi is the President & CEO of UBIZ Venture Capital and the EVP for Economic Development at the Urban League of Greater Cleveland. He provides economic development strategies and implementation services to organizations that are focused on advancing job creation through entrepreneurship and access to capital in Greater Cleveland and various communities around the world. Michael has held executive level positions in the banking industry with Bank of America, Wells Fargo and KeyBank. Prior to launching his various economic development ventures, he was the Senior Vice President and Director of Performance Management at KeyBank. His banking background cuts across retail, business banking, corporate banking, finance and mergers and acquisition. Michael leverages his capital market and banking expertise as the Fund Manager and Chairman of Spectrum Global Holdings; an investment vehicle he founded in 2003 to promote sustainable wealth creation. Michael serves on the Corporate Board of CNB Bank, a publicly traded financial institution, with locations in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio and Virginia. He is the Chairman of the Executive Compensation and Personnel Committee at CNB Bank. Michael obtained both his Bachelor’s in Accounting and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Coggins School of Business at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. He is a graduate of the Columbia Business School’s Senior Executive Program with a focus on Venture Capital and Private Equity.
