Speaker Bio
Mike Michel is a 2015 graduate of George Washington University Law School and currently serves as VP and Senior Legal Counsel at Marriott International, where he is a member of the Employment Law Group. Prior to joining Marriott, Mr. Michel served as a fellow at DC Law Students in Court (now Rise for Justice) and in the General Counsel's Office at the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. He was also an associate at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney. An engaged alumnus, he is active within the GW Law community, serving as president of the Association of Black Law Alumni and as a member of the GW Law Alumni Board of Directors. Michel serves on the board of New Endeavors by Women (NEW), an organization that partners with unhoused women to help them achieve their life goals, and is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
