Mia McNeil joined the AARP Tennessee team in January 2022, bringing expertise in advocacy and community engagement. Previously, she served as director of government and community relations at the University of Michigan-Flint, where she oversaw strategic partnerships and managed local, state, and federal lobbying efforts. Her professional background includes nine years as an attorney and lobbyist with Kelley Cawthorne PC in Lansing, Michigan, where she also led the state’s Rock the Vote campaign and served on the legislative staff for Governor Jennifer Granholm. Mia maintains active involvement in key community organizations, serving on the corporate roundtable for the National Black Caucus of State Legislators and the Tennessee Titans One Community Home Field Advantage Fund. member of the State Bar of Michigan.
