Monique Good
Human Resources & Labor Relations Professional

 Monique Good, an accomplished professional with over 15 years of experience in Human Resources and Labor Relations in public and private sector organizations. Along with holding a master’s degree in labor relations and human resources from Cleveland State University, Monique’s professional experiences include executive level management; strategic plan development and execution; project management; training and development; and labor and employee relations. Monique is currently serving in the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for Cuyahoga County Public Library (CCPL). Prior to her role as CHRO, she was a Labor and Employee Relations Specialist at Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) where her responsibilities included responding to employee grievances; providing guidance on interpretation and application of GCRTA policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements; conducting internal investigations and serving on the collective bargaining negotiations team. Monique’s early professional career experience includes teaching middle school math and science and managing a mortgage company. She was able to use the experiences gained in these positions to segue into Human Resources as a Corporate Trainer for Smithfield Packing Company in Smithfield, VA. That position led to her being offered a position that focused on Labor and Employee Relations at Smithfield’s 5,000-employee plant in Tar Heel, NC. Monique prides herself on her strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in challenging, fast-paced work environments while fostering a culture of creativity and inclusion. Her panelist/speaking experiences include: Ohio Diversity Council – Women in Leadership Symposium, GCRTA Women’s History Month – Women on the Right Track, Kastner, Westman and Wilkins – Women in the Workplace Client Seminar, Your Partner in HR – Creating Inclusive Leadership in Today’s Workplace, Cuyahoga County Public Library – New Year, New You Speaker. Monique is a College Now mentor, mentoring first generation college students. She also serves on the board of Shoes and Clothes for Kids, a non-profit organization that provides new shoes, clothes and school supplies to students in need. Monique enjoys traveling internationally, reading, and caring for her dog. She resides in Middleburg Heights, OH.
