Monique Carswell
Director/Center for Racial Equity for Wal-Mart

Monique Carswell is a proven leader with 17 years of corporate and cause experience encompassing philanthropy, marketing, nonprofit management, and social innovation. She first joined Walmart.org as the lead for customer and associate engagement, managing community giving and volunteerism. Prior to joining Walmart, Monique was director of sustainability & corporate social responsibility at Comcast NBCUniversal where she led the company’s s Emmy Award-winning public service campaign “The More You Know.” Earlier in her career, she oversaw national and diversity outreach at Teach for America  and served as director of marketing & strategic partnerships at Black Enterprise. Committed to giving back, Monique was the founding director of the leadership council for WorldofMoney.org, a nonprofit that teaches kids financial literacy, and founding officer of the New York Urban League Young Professionals.
