With 25 years at First Citizens, Mike Atkinson has held several sales and staff roles.  Currently he is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of First Citizens’ Community Reinvestment Act and Community Development activities. Prior to this role, Mike served as a manager of retail banking as a member of the Central Region retail sales team.  Before joining First Citizens, Mike was the business finance programs director at the North Carolina Rural Center and held multiple sales and leadership positions at Wells Fargo. Recently, Mike was selected to serve on the North Carolina Banker’s Association Board of Directors where he chairs the Future Bank Leaders Program and is a member of the NCBA Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council.
