Larry Williams Jr., serves as the Executive Director of Black Men Vote (BMV), a leading 501(c)3 non-profit focused on educating, informing, and inspiring all Black men (particularly aged 18-35) to vote at all levels of government.
In this role, Mr. Williams directs the organization’s national programming to engage with Black men across America. Mr. Williams also leads the organization’s Strength in Numbers Initiative, a national effort to register one million Black Men to vote by November of 2024. Under Mr. Williams’ direction, the organization will leverage national partnerships, unique programming, and an unprecedented “ground game” to connect directly with Black men from all walks of life.
Before joining Black Men Vote, Mr. Williams served as Executive Director of the Labor Network for Sustainability (LNS) and has a career of more than 15 years. He began his career working in the Labor movement at the Teamsters Union and was a pioneer in the Labor-Climate space with his work at the Sierra Club. Larry is the co-founder and former President of the Progressive Workers’ Union (PWU), a union representing non-profit employees mainly at environmental organizations. He is also the founder of UnionBase, the leading digital platform for union workers.
