La'Kerri Jackson
Global Director of Social Impact/UPS

La’Kerri Jackson serves as the Global Director of Social Impact at UPS, leading initiatives that drive equity and economic empowerment across the globe. Her work largely focuses on Women’s Economic Empowerment initiatives, which aim to unlock the economic potential of women entrepreneurs in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. La’Kerri’s efforts are dedicated to creating transformative opportunities for underserved and underrepresented women, youth, and marginalized communities. By removing barriers to success, she strengthens economic empowerment and creates pathways to entrepreneurship, education, mentorship, and inclusion.

In her previous role as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) practitioner, La’Kerri significantly influenced organizational culture by reinforcing UPS’s DEI strategy. She promoted a fair, inclusive, and authentic workplace for over 500,000 employees and led strategies and initiatives for the company’s 200 Business Resource Groups worldwide.

La’Kerri’s dedication to social causes extends beyond her professional role. She serves on various non-profit boards, including her position as a Board Director for Heart for Africa. Her leadership and commitment to impactful initiatives are evident through her service. La’Kerri holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Studies from Beulah Heights University, an ABA-approved paralegal certification in civil litigation from the National Center for Paralegal Training, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from STCU, showcasing her commitment to continuous learning and leadership.

One of La’Kerri’s proudest achievements is her personal initiative, The African Women’s Economic Empowerment Initiative (TAWEEI), launched in collaboration with a non-profit organization in 2020. This initiative transcends cultural barriers, providing women entrepreneurs in Africa with access to capital. TAWEEI has positively impacted over 4,000 women and their families in Uganda by offering low-interest microloans, empowering them to overcome obstacles and scale their businesses. La’Kerri also mentors aspiring entrepreneurs in Cambodia, sharing her expertise to help them unlock their full potential.

Outside her professional pursuits, La’Kerri enjoys spending time with her family, exploring new cultures through travel, and volunteering. Her passion for philanthropy and positive global change is evident in all aspects of her life.
