Kym Whitley is an award-winning actor, comedian, producer, author, and podcaster whose career spans television, film, publishing, and digital media. In 2025, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award in Film from the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for her role as Candi on “The Bay.” She is also a three-time NAACP Image Award winner for the hit podcast, “Two Funny Mamas,” which she co-hosts with Sherri Shepherd. She received the 2023 Signal Award for her Audible podcast, “Kym.” Widely acclaimed for her performances in such fan favorites as “Next Friday,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Happy Gilmore 2,” Kym stars in the upcoming “The Varnell Hill Show” with Tommy Davidson, a spin-off of the iconic ‘90s hit sitcom Martin, premiering on Paramount+ Fall 2026. Beyond performing, Whitley executive-produced the OWN network docuseries “Raising Whitley” and authored the novel “The Delusion of Cinderella.”
