In 2018, Kyla Washington joined the City of Greenville Mayor’s Office as executive assistant and public relations director, playing a vital part in strategic planning and communication. Kyla then joined Mars Food & Nutrition's corporate affairs team as their first community engagement officer. In this role, she focuses on communication, consumer care, improving equity and inclusion within Mars Food, and making a positive impact on the Greenville community. She plays a crucial role in implementing community interventions and building relationships with important officials, organizations, and companies.  Kyla serves as a member of the Greenville Higher Education Center Advisory Board, Food First Village Council, Optimist Club, Keep Greenville Beautiful Committee, and Community Counseling Center Board.
