Ken Martin
Chair, Democratic National Committee

Ken Martin is a pro-labor progressive who grew up in the American Midwest, the firstborn son of a single mom who was raising four kids by age 20. He has spent his entire life fighting to improve the lives of hard-working families like his. Prior to being elected DNC chair, Ken led Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party to 25 statewide victories, two state trifectas, and one of the most pro-family, pro-worker policy agendas in the nation. Because of his success, he was later elected by his peers to oversee the Association of State Democratic Committees (ASDC), where he created bold national initiatives to invest in grassroots organizing. Ken is committed to rebuilding and restoring the organizing principles that made the Democratic Party into the party of working people, putting the party on the path to long-term sustainable success at the local, state, and national levels.
