Kelsey Gibbs is an Emmy Award-winning reporter who joined NewsChannel 5 in January 2019 as a multimedia journalist. Before moving to Nashville, she worked at KFOR-TV (NBC) in Oklahoma City, covering a wide range of stories — from devastating wildfires to high-speed chases. She began her reporting career at WCIA-TV (CBS) in Champaign, Illinois, primarily in the Capitol Bureau as a political reporter. In addition to her work in broadcast journalism, Kelsey is an adjunct professor at Lipscomb University, where she teaches communications, merging her two passions of storytelling and educating the next generation of journalists.
