Josh Thomas leads Amazon’s global community strategy, connecting communities inside and outside the organization to upskilling, entrepreneurship, and economic opportunity. Josh began his career as a manufacturing engineer with Caterpillar Inc. before joining Amazon in 2016. Today, Josh’s portfolio spans external partnership strategy, executive engagement, and community activation. He is particularly focused on leveraging AI as a tool for economic empowerment, partnering with organizations to deliver cloud and AI training, career pathways, and entrepreneurship resources to communities historically excluded from the tech economy. Outside of Amazon, Josh is an entrepreneur and the founder of WASHED Dads, a lifestyle brand and social initiative celebrating modern fatherhood—WASHED stands for We Are Super Heroes Every Day.
