Dr. JaBaris Swain leads health systems integration at Janssen Pharmaceuticals LLC of Johnson & Johnson, where he engages with executive leadership at US healthcare systems in their efforts to improve quality of care, reduce cost, enhance patient and health care provider experiences, and promote health equity. Dr. Swain is a cardiothoracic transplant surgeon-scientist with prior expertise in humanitarian cardiac surgery, cardiology education, and international public health. He has worked to strengthen healthcare infrastructures for vulnerable populations in Rwanda and Haiti. Dr. Swain also serves as mentor to residents and fellows at the Pearlman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He also volunteers as a medical director at the Dr. Ala Stanford Center for Health Equity in North Philadelphia, grassroots health center established to reduce health disparities and improve outcomes for the most vulnerable populations of Greater Philadelphia.
