Jodi Brockington hails from New York, and is an entrepreneur, speaker, published author, and one of New York's top lifestyle coaches and fitness experts. She owns NIARA Consulting (NC), a full service company that provides complete consulting services for individuals, nonprofits, small businesses and corporations. NC consultants are experienced and dedicated professionals with many years of business development and strategic planning experience under the tutelage of Brockington. It is unique in that it gives its clients their undivided attention: “We listen to their needs and work with them to create the business of their dreams. Our clients' wishes become our commands,” says Ms. Brockington. Whether a client wants a new logo or specialized marketing plan, NC can help. Their services include website design, special events, fundraising, organization development consultations, budget planning, media relations, as well as referrals and connections to other experts in various fields.
At present, Brockington serves as the Chief of Staff for Culture Shift Labs (Culture Shift Labs), an advisory and management consultancy firm that advises Tech & Fortune 500 companies, large non-profits, leaders, cities and philanthropists on creating and activating growth and innovation through diversity and inclusion. Her responsibilities include hiring staff, connecting strategic partners, producing events, providing D&I solutions to clients as well as overseeing messaging, communications, marketing, branding and experiential for Culture Shift Labs (CSL).
Prior to her role at CSL, she was the Director of Fund Development and Corporate Relations for the New York Urban League, Founding New York Urban League Young Professional President, and Consultant to the National Urban League for the last 10 years. Brockington has produced and hosted the National Urban League Jobs Network’s Digital Career Success Series since 2012 and works on the development of the Small Business Matters Summit, alongside hosting the Pitch Contest since its inception in 2011.
Additionally, one of Brockington’s recent accomplishments includes completing the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program. She used this program to further develop her strategic niche marketing business, NIARA Consulting. She also manages Friends of Jodi 28-Day Challenge, where she ensures participants are able to incorporate health and fitness program into their current lifestyle and then modify it for an ultimate lifestyle change.
Brockington’s leverages over 15 years of marketing and business development experience in the nonprofit, corporate, and government sectors to consult for individuals, nonprofits, small businesses and corporations, as well as offer career and college coaching for millennials and professionals. As mentioned earlier, she also is a health and wellness, fitness expert. Brockington is a graduate of University of California at Los Angeles, with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology. In addition, she has an MPA in Public Administration from Baruch College and an MSW from University of Southern California. She resides in New York City.
