Isra Hirsi is a 21-year-old organizer from Minneapolis, MN. Before she could read, Isra was engaged with her community, attending protests and community meetings with her family. At 14, she organized her first protest—a school walkout—and went on to co-found the US Youth Climate Strike. The movement coordinated hundreds of strikes across the country in March and September of 2019. In 2020, Fortune named Isra among its “40 under 40” for her impactful contributions. Since then, she has been widely recognized as one of the world's most influential individuals in climate policy, Currently, Isra is in her last year at Barnard College pursuing a degree in sociology.
