Genaro Stewart’s career bridges grassroots community empowerment with high-level national policy. As the former president of Thursday Network—the young professionals auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League — he elevated the voices of underserved communities in the Metropolitan DC area, strengthened local nonprofits, and drove collaborative policy solutions. Beyond his grassroots advocacy, Genaro brings a critical, community-focused lens to the highest levels of government, advising senior officials across the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the White House, the U.S. Congress, and the National Security Council on vital geopolitical and security developments. This fall, he continues his dedication to structural leadership as a selected national security fellow in Harvard University’s prestigious Kennedy School of Government’s Senior Executives in National Security and International Affairs program.
