Genaro Stewart is a dedicated advocate for community empowerment and public service. A former president of Thursday Network—the young professionals auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League—he brings a wealth of leadership experience to local nonprofit organizations. Genaro works to elevate their voices in key policy discussions, strengthen organizational leadership, foster collaboration, and advance equity for underserved communities across the Metropolitan DC area. His impact in this space earned him national recognition as the 2022 National Urban League Young Professionals President of the Year and a place on the 2024 Northern Virginia 40 Under 40 list. Currently, Genaro serves as a National Security and Policy Director at the Pentagon, where he advises senior leaders on critical national security policies and global geopolitical developments. Locally, he serves on the Commission for Fathers, Men and Boys, an appointment by the Mayor of Washington, D.C.
