Frank James is a 17-year veteran of Marriott, recognized for his strong relationships, broad knowledge, and expertise in the hospitality space. In his current role, Frank is responsible for the performance of franchise accounts across the Marriott Select Brand portfolio. Most recently, Frank served as hotel manager for The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta. With a team of 500 associates, Frank navigated the pandemic towards a new normal as guests returned at full capacity. Frank began his career with Marriott as a front desk clerk in 2007. What began as a job to sustain him through college was the start of a long career, which has included various operations roles at multiple hotels and brands, including Courtyard, Marriott Full Service, and Residence Inn. As the general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Norcross, he led a comprehensive renovation and achieved substantial growth. His performance earned him the Georgia Hotel and Lodging Association’s General Manager of the Year award for two consecutive years.
