Ebony A. Thomas serves as the chief strategist for the bank’s philanthropic efforts to address society’s challenges, including economic mobility and racial inequality in health, jobs, small business, and housing. In 2021, the Foundation invested $370 million to drive economic mobility in the communities we serve, including more than $94 million in support of workforce development and jobs. Thomas is also responsible for delivering Bank of America’s $1.25 billion, five-year commitment to economic mobility for people and communities of color. Under Thomas’s leadership, the bank recently announced a collaboration with the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, the American Cancer Society, and the University of Michigan School of Public Health to improve health outcomes in communities of color.
