Etienne Maurice is a filmmaker, actor, and activist who is dedicated to using his creative passions for social change. He is the founder of WalkGood LA, a community based non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people together to fight for racial equity and heal in solidarity through the arts, health, and wellness. Following the death of Ahmaud Arbery and ongoing racial and social injustices against Black and Brown people, Etienne recognized the need for community healing and founded WalkGood LA in 2020, Together with his sister and cousin, they curate healing spaces for all throughout the LA area and beyond. WalkGood pays homage to Maurice’s grandmother, Ivy Ralph, who always reminded them to “Walk Good,” a Jamaican euphemism meaning good fortune, safe travels, and be well.
