Eugene Daniels joined MSNBC in 2021 as an on-air contributor and senior political analyst before being named senior Washington correspondent in 2025. Previously, he was the chief playbook correspondent and White House correspondent for POLITICO. Throughout his career, Daniels has interviewed numerous political leaders and policy experts and was one of the few reporters to interview former Vice President Kamala Harris during her 2024 presidential campaign. He has covered midterm elections, the Democratic presidential primary, and general elections through print, video journalism, podcasts, and live events. Daniels is the current president of the White House Correspondents Association.
