David and Tamela Mann began their careers as members of Kirk Franklin & The Family, where they helped shape the sound of 90s gospel music. This early success led to their ongoing collaboration with Tyler Perry, notably their iconic performances as Mr. Brown and Cora alongside Madea on stage and screen. David and Tamela also starred in the hit TV shows “Meet the Browns,” “Mann & Wife,” and “Assisted Living,” currently one of BET’s top rated programs. The couple’s media and entertainment company, TillyMann Inc., provides opportunities for thousands of people of color in front and behind the camera. Collectively and individually, David and Tamela have garnered numerous honors, including NAACP Image Awards, a Grammy, and an American Music Award. Tamela recently made history and is the first artist to score ten No. 1’s on the Billboard Gospel Radio Airplay chart. As a married couple of 36 years in the entertainment business, they are a beacon of hope, joy, and inspiration to audiences globally and they continue to pave the way for others along the way.
