Dr. Derrick Jackson is the 11th President of American Baptist College (ABC) in Nashville, a historic institution dedicated to faith-based education and social justice leadership. Since 2001, he has served as Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Gallatin, Tennessee, where he led transformative projects including a state-of-the-art worship and community facility and the creation of the Unlimited Potential CDC to serve under-resourced populations. In addition to his pastoral work, Dr. Jackson serves as executive director of the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., and previously held leadership roles at Meharry Medical College. He is the author of theological works, including ”Advancing the Conversation on Racism and Racial Reconciliation: A Liberational-Missional Theological Primer.”
