For Delta, Cherie Wilson leads advocacy strategies on international, federal, state, and local climate policies, ensuring alignment of the company’s climate goals and its climate lobbying activities. She has proven experience working with policymakers, NGOs, non-profits, trade associations, c-suite
Leaders, and management across aviation, automotive, consumer lending, and electric power industries. Prior to joining Delta, Cherie was a director of federal affairs for General Motors, where she established sustainability and climate change advocacy as part GM’s policy portfolio. She also spearheaded the company’s first DEI report. The Hill recognized Cherie as one of DC’s Top Lobbyist for four consecutive years and, in 2021 and 2022, Washingtonian listed her among its most influential experts and advocates shaping policy.
