Christopher Senegal, also known as “Mr. Buy the Block,” has created a blueprint for high-impact redevelopment and disinvested communities. In 2013, Chris founded Invictus Development Group, focusing the strategic revitalization of communities through preservation of existing residential life while creating new housing opportunities for all income levels. Currently, Chris is the only African American development partner with the Houston Housing Authority. The partnership is building a 340-unit mixed-use apartment complex, and bringing the top-performing black charter school into a neighborhood that has a strong need for quality education. Chris has been featured in several publications including Commercial Observer, and three separate front-page articles in The Houston Chronicle.
