Christopher Bruce
Policy Director/American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia

Christopher Bruce is a lawyer and lobbyist who has dedicated his career to advancing civil liberties and protecting the constitutional rights of all people. Throughout his career, Bruce has advocated for marginalized communities, focusing on issues such as racial justice, voting rights, and criminal justice reform. Under his leadership, the ACLU of Georgia has achieved significant victories in protecting the voting rights of its members. He started the Voter Access Project, an initiative that recruited more poll workers than any other state in the nation.  He has worked with civil rights icons, including U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock and U.S. Congresswoman Nikema Williams, to combat voter suppression and unfair redistricting and served as Atlanta political director for Stacey Abrams. Bruce also served as President-Elect for the Gate City Bar Association, one of the oldest Black bar associations in the United States. Recently, he was named to the 40 Under 40 Class for both of his alma maters, Georgia State University and the University of Georgia.
