Charreau Bell, Ph.D., is the director of the undergraduate data science minor, an assistant professor of the practice of computer science, and a senior data scientist in the Data Science Institute in the College of Connected Computing at Vanderbilt University. A thought leader on the uses and impact of AI technology, she partners with people and organizations to turn generative AI, machine learning, and data science into strategy, leading projects from pilot to production across fields, including law, healthcare, medicine, history, and education. As a professor, she has taught generative AI courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels since 2023. In 2026, the Greater Nashville Technology Council selected Dr. Bell as its 2026 Technology Educator of the Year.
