Cliff Albright
Co-founder and Executive Director, Black Voters Matter and the BVM Capacity Building Institute

Cliff Albright is a political economist, speaker, and award-winning activist. He is the co-founder and executive director of Black Voters Matter and the BVM Capacity Building  Institute, organizations dedicated to empowering Black communities through voting and economic development. Cliff’s activism began at Cornell University, where he led student protests and co-founded a Latino Living Learning Unit. Cliff is an expert in voter mobilization, Black political economy, and the history of the voting rights movement. Since 2017, he and the BVM team have traveled across the South on “The Blackest Bus in America,” engaging voters and challenging voter suppression. His work has been featured on CNN and MSNBC and in publications including The New York Times, The Guardian, and TruthOut.
