Brandi Richard Thompson is a seasoned emergency manager and communication strategist. Recent achievements include serving as interim director of the Department of Homeland Security Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships and senior advisor to the FEMA’s external affairs and communications directors. She also managed COVID-19 vaccination messaging for FEMA and co-led the FEMA Diversity Management Advisory Council. Brandi serves on the California State University at Northridge Public Relations Advisory Council and just completed three terms as chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Federal Executive Board Public Affairs Council. She has served multiple roles with the Urban League Young Professionals, including Dallas president, Southern Region vice president, and two terms as a national president and National Urban League Board Trustee.
