President Ashley Upkins broke barriers as the first woman from Tennessee elected to lead the National Bar Association (NBA), the nation’s oldest and largest network of Black legal professionals. President Upkins leads complex litigation and dispute resolution at Silicon Ranch, the nation’s largest independent solar energy producer, and formerly served as managing partner of The Cochran Firm – Nashville. Her impact extends beyond the courtroom. A Nashville native, President Upkins is a global advocate, multi-award-winning leader, and proud “Tennessee Attorney for Justice” honoree. Rooted in purpose, President Upkins carries the hopes of generations, proving every day that Black women lead with power, grace, and an unshakable commitment to justice.
