Abigail D. James leads Macy’s enterprise-wide culture, talent development, performance management,, and engagement strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s Bold New Chapter strategy and Mission Every One social commitment and integrating efforts across all three nameplates, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, and Bluemercury. Abigail has devoted 29 years to Macy’s, Inc., contributing across four divisions. Prior to her current role, she served as SVP and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer and SVP of Marketing – Customer Activation. In 2025, she was selected as a David Rockefeller Fellow by the Partnership of New York City, a prestigious program recognizing exceptional senior leaders committed to civic engagement. Beyond her professional achievements, Abigail serves on the Board of Directors for New Yorkers for Children.
