“We are stronger united than divided!” Historically, that motto has proved both a worthy sentiment and a powerful strategy in the fight for justice – and in 2019, it has never had more resonance. The challenges for today’s communities of color looking to build unity from within go beyond race. Generational and ideological differences left unaddressed sow conflict, division, and misunderstanding. How do we forge sustainable coalitions that engage the Gen Z to the Baby Boomers in ways the value differences yet mobilize with purpose? This session brings together generational leaders who walk the walk. Sharing their unique experiences and insights, panelists will discuss strategies for coalition building, balancing shared values, and the importance of generational activism, engagement, and cultural awareness. Best of all, learn how you can take the point and be the catalyst organizer in your community! United, undivided, unstoppable!
