M&F Bank is the second oldest African American bank in the country, founded in 1907 and headquartered in Durham, N.C.  M&F Bank is a regional community bank with total assets of $342 Million with seven branch locations in the five major markets in North Carolina.  James H. Sills has served in his leadership role since 2014. Sills has more than 30 years of banking and technology management experience which combines executive management roles within large-scale banking operations, community banks and government organizations.  Previously, Sills served as the Cabinet Secretary and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the State of Delaware from January 2009 to August 2014.  He also served as EVP of MBNA America Bank (now Bank of America) and as the President and CEO of Memphis First Community Bank (now Landmark Community Bank) in Memphis, TN.
